Inner Wheel District 6 Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland
Inner Wheel District 6Association of Inner Wheel Clubsin Great Britain and Ireland

New beginnings are always exciting and starting out as the Chairman of District 6 for the coming year, is the most exciting I can imagine. The best part of the year is being able to visit every Club in the District, meeting the membership and discovering what they're doing. Every Club is different, although the principles of fellowship and friendship, are what guides us. Helping in our communities and also fundraising for projects abroad, allow us to have fun whilst helping others.
If you are a member browsing the site for inspiration from the activities of other clubs, you will certainly find it here. If you are browsing the site because you are interested in what Inner Wheel is about, why not visit one or two Clubs in your area and really find out what motivates our members. You will receive a warm welcome and there is no pressure to join us until you are sure it is for you.
Enjoy your Inner Wheel and encourage others to join in too.

Pauline Smart

District Chairman 2016/17

Join us for our next District Meeting  at the Lakes at Barston Restaurant on 23rd March. It starts at 10.30 and includes lunch.

We have a speaker from the Association President's charity Beat talking to us, and look forward to it being an interesting and entertaining event.

This is Yara, a puppy that is being sponsored by Solihull Inner Wheel as part of the Dogs for Good charity. The dogs are trained as Assistance Dogs or Community Dogs, helping children in schools and with autistic needs or5 supporting adults with mental and physical disabilities.

Members of the  Halesowen Club and members from surrounding Clubs celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Club being founded recently. A lovely dinner at the Hagley County Club was followed by a fascinating talk about the 'Back to Back' project in Birmingham and the evening finished with delicious birthday cake!

Congratulations to Atherstone Founder Member, Sheila Onions, on the award of a British Empire Medal for services to the community in Fillongley.

Sheila has been very involved in Village life including being elected as a Parish Councillor for numerous years, supporting  the Village Hall and a number of community groups, and being a Trustee for the Fillongley Education Foundation.

Did you know............ it only takes 10 to 12 women to form a Club - and then YOU could help change the World! Go to the Membership Page for more information.

Don't forget to check the What's New page for the latest updates!
