Inner Wheel District 6 Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland
Inner Wheel District 6Association of Inner Wheel Clubsin Great Britain and Ireland

New beginnings are always exciting and starting out as the Chairman of District 6 for the coming year, is the most exciting I can imagine. The best part of the year is being able to visit every Club in the District, meeting the membership and discovering what they're doing. Every Club is different, although the principles of fellowship and friendship, are what guides us. Helping in our communities and also fundraising for projects abroad, allow us to have fun whilst helping others.
If you are a member browsing the site for inspiration from the activities of other clubs, you will certainly find it here. If you are browsing the site because you are interested in what Inner Wheel is about, why not visit one or two Clubs in your area and really find out what motivates our members. You will receive a warm welcome and there is no pressure to join us until you are sure it is for you.
Enjoy your Inner Wheel and encourage others to join in too.

Pauline Smart

District Chairman 2016/17

SERIOUSLY SILLY!

The recent District Meeting proved to be a very lively occasion!

The speaker was from the Association President's charity, Beat, and in support of the charity members wore a number of colourful garments including socks, hats and scarves. The Meeting also included an Open Forum and a very successful stall in support of Bees Abroad.

BEATING A PATH!

162 feet did the walking when the Inner Wheel Club of Redditch and the1st Redditch Brigade did a walk in support of Association President Zena's charity, Beat, recently.

There were 61 Adults and Children with an age range of 3-79, plus 10 very well behaved dogs.

The weather was kind although it was very muddy underfoot members were left feeling invigorated for being out in the fresh air

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO STRATFORD UPON AVON

Members of the Stratford upon Avon Club and guests from surrounding Clubs celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Club being founded recently. Guests had a lovely lunch at the Henley in Arden Golf Club and listened to Ted Watson talk about his fascinating life as a musician in the RSC Orchestra for many years.

ASSOCIATIONCONFERENCE

Pictured is Association President Zena Coles with guests (including Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham!) at the recent Association Conference in Nottingham.

The event was atteded by over 2,000 women and very enjoyable. It featured interesting speakers, charity presentations and a range of musical performances. Next year it will be in Bournemouth, make sure you do not miss it!

Did you know............ it only takes 10 to 12 women to form a Club - and then YOU could help change the World! Go to the Membership Page for more information.
