Welcome to Inner Wheel!

I am honoured to be serving as the District Chairman this year and look forward to visiting our 22 clubs in  Warwickshire, West Midlands, parts of Worcestershire and Staffordshire.  Friendship is at the core of all that is done and achieved by members of Inner Wheel and each Club has its own social events and fund raising projects. My chosen charity for this year is Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.

If you are not a member of Inner Wheel do come and visit a club near you, you will be made most welcome.

Warm Wishes

District Chairman 2018/19

The new District 6 Executive Team took office at the District Meeting and AGM recently. Members from Clubs across District 6 listened to talks by Burn Aid and Dogs For Good (The Past Chairman's charities) over a lovely evening meal. Led by the new District Chairman Jill, the team are looking forward with enthusiasm to the year ahead!

On a beautiful sunny day recently, several members of the Stratford upon Avon  Club enjoyed an outing to the Delphinium Fields near Pershore. The fields are only in flower 2 weeks per year and are used to make natural confetti. The fields are a riot of all different colours , making a striking sight. The outing was followed by a lovely lunch at The Angel in Pershore

District 6 Officers and the President of the Tamorth Anker Club were among the guests  at the Service of Commemoration for the 1100th Anniversary of the Death of Aethelflaed, Lady of the Mercians. It took place at St. Editha's Church Tamworth in the Presence of Prince Edward, The Earl of Essex.

Atherstone Members had a stall at their local Hospice Garden party recently which was a great success although numbers attending were down. Luckily the rain stayed away!

The stall was loaded with cakes and all but a few were  sold out  - the remaining went into the Hospice kitchen for teatime. Monies raised were given  to the Hospice.

Did you know...... it only takes 10 to 12 women to form a Club - and then YOU could help change the World! Go to the Membership Page for more information.

Don't forget to check the What's New page for the latest updates!

District Chairman Jill has selected Hearing Dogs for the Deaf as her Charity for the year.

The District 6 International Charity is the Chinthowa Trust.

The National President, Ann Acaster, has chosen Jessie's Fund (Music helping Children) for her charity.

The International President, Christine Kirby, has chosen 'Empower and Evolve' as her theme.
