Inner Wheel District 6 Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland
Inner Wheel District 6Association of Inner Wheel Clubsin Great Britain and Ireland

New beginnings are always exciting and starting out as the Chairman of District 6 for the coming year, is the most exciting I can imagine. The best part of the year is being able to visit every Club in the District, meeting the membership and discovering what they're doing. Every Club is different, although the principles of fellowship and friendship, are what guides us. Helping in our communities and also fundraising for projects abroad, allow us to have fun whilst helping others.
If you are a member browsing the site for inspiration from the activities of other clubs, you will certainly find it here. If you are browsing the site because you are interested in what Inner Wheel is about, why not visit one or two Clubs in your area and really find out what motivates our members. You will receive a warm welcome and there is no pressure to join us until you are sure it is for you.
Enjoy your Inner Wheel and encourage others to join in too.

Pauline Smart

District Chairman 2016/17

The recent District International Service Rally was attended by over 150 members who enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea.

The speaker was from the District International Service charity, Bees Abroad and he explained how funds are being used to help the Ugandan Batwa tribe to start a beekeeping industry.

Atherstone Inner Wheel Club members braved the wind and the rain to raise money for First Responders in their area.

Members provided a 'Tin Stall' and were pleased that locals braved the bad weather to purchase the items!

Atherstone member Sheila Onions was honoured to receive a British Empire Medal recently. More information about her award can be found on the Club page by clicking the link.

Members of the Solihull Club and guests from surrounding Clubs celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Club being founded recently. Guests had a lovely lunch at the Copt Heath Golf Club and listened to Brian Barton talk about his passion for elephants and his encounters with them. The lunch ended with some delicious birthday cake!
