District Chairman 2021 – 2022

 Sylvia Hook

Inner Wheel Club of

Rugby

Welcome to the District 6 Website.

Inner Wheel is one of the largest Women's movements in the world, active in over 100 countries with more than 100,000 members and was established in Manchester, England nearly 100 years ago.

District 6 covers the Midlands area and has 12 clubs and about 260 members.

I am very happy to be Chairman in this coming year and hope that we adapt to our "new normal" as we emerge from lockdown, and enjoy friendship, fellowship and fun as well as supporting good causes at the same time.

My chosen charities for this year are Rugby Womens Refuge and Macmillan Cancer Support.  The refuge as it is a local charity and one in need of support at all times but even more so following the pandemic and lockdown.  I have chosen Macmillan as it is a charity close to my heart and I think to all who have known or know someone affected by cancer.

The clubs in District 6 also select their own charities for the year and support them with fundraising and with the giving of time when needed and between the clubs we raise substantial amounts for the charities.

We welcome new members and our "MAD" (Membership and Development) team are always happy to answer any questions or queries.  Do give it a try.

Best Wishes

Sylvia x
