Welcome to Inner Wheel!

I am honoured to be serving as the District Chairman this year and look forward to visiting our 22 clubs in  Warwickshire, West Midlands, parts of Worcestershire and Staffordshire.  Friendship is at the core of all that is done and achieved by members of Inner Wheel and each Club has its own social events and fund raising projects. My chosen charity for this year is Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.

If you are not a member of Inner Wheel do come and visit a club near you, you will be made most welcome.

Warm Wishes

Jill

District Chairman 2018/19

RALLYING TOGETHER!

On Friday October 12th Club Members enjoyed a delicious lunch with our Association President Ann. Pictured is a speaker from the Chairman's charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, and her lovely dog Primrose.  We were also pleased to welcome guests from Rotary and other Districts.

HAWAIIAN HAPPINESS!

Atherstone members enjoyed a Hawaiian themed meeting to raise money for President Sue's Charity, the local Gateway Club which looks after disabled adults. There were lots of Hawaiian recipes with pineapples, a photo booth, raffle and a difficult quiz e.g. 1)how many vowels and consonants in the alphabet?

2)what does Aloha mean?

3)what is VOG?

ENGAGING

OTHERS!

The Stratford upon Avon Club had a stall at the 'Engage 50+' festval recently, which featured over 90 organisations and was attended by a large number of local people. This provided an opportunity to promote Inner Wheel to a wide audience and to talk to people about membership. The 'name the teddy' competition also raised money for our local Hospice.

HOSPICE HELP

Atherstone Members had a stall at their local Hospice Garden party recently which was a great success although numbers attending were down. Luckily the rain stayed away!

The stall was loaded with cakes and all but a few were  sold out  - the remaining went into the Hospice kitchen for teatime. Monies raised were given  to the Hospice.

Did you know...... it only takes 10 to 12 women to form a Club - and then YOU could help change the World! Go to the Membership Page for more information.

Don't forget to check the What's New page for the latest updates!

District Chairman Jill has selected Hearing Dogs for the Deaf as her Charity for the year.

The District 6 International Charity is the Chinthowa Trust.

The National President, Ann Acaster, has chosen Jessie's Fund (Music helping Children) for her charity.
