My dear Leaders and CHANGE MAKERS !

On assuming the office of the PRESIDENT  of our beloved International Inner Wheel, it is my desire that we all have an excellent beginning to our Inner Wheel  Year  2020-21.

A year of NEW LEADERSHIP, NEW  OPPORTUNITIES, NEW SUCCESS STORIES, NOTEWORTHY PROJECTS & INNOVATIONS !!

I wish that we  all Club Presidents , District Chairmen, Association Presidents, National  Representatives, Board Directors and IIW Executive Members become the most successful CHANGE MAKERS.

Our THEME  for the year is “ LEAD THE CHANGE ”. I eagerly look forward to working with  you all to transform our organization and make it more relevant to the current world ?and the challenges that the world is facing ..

To LEAD THE CHANGE, first and foremost we have to lead the growth  in numbers, significant projects and finance.

For the first time in 96 years, India is going to host the 18th IIW Convention at Jaipur from March 3-6, 2021, to showcase the changes you will be carrying out in your Clubs, Districts and Countries.

Let us give a facelift to our great organization and mould it according to our dreams. As you get engaged and engrossed in LEADING  THE  CHANGE, I convey my sincere greetings and best wishes to you all.

International Inner Wheel President for 2020-21 Dr. Bina Vyas.

An asteroid in deep space has been dedicated to Margarette Oliver Golding the founding President of Inner Wheel – rather unromantically officially known as:8148 Golding = 1985 CR2.

The asteroid was discovered on 15 February 1985 by H. Debehogne at the European Southern Observatory. Its new name was suggested by astronomer Mario Di Martino. You can read the full, fascinating story on www.internationalinnerwheel.org.

In the Search Website box at the bottom of the home page, type Margarette Golding Asteroid, and click on latest news.

The definition of an asteroid, particularly in connection with Mars and Jupiter, is interesting, to say the least.

An asteroid is: A small rocky body orbiting the sun. Very many, varying greatly in size, exist between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter and in the world of astrology, harmonious Mars/Jupiter aspects are a marker of worldly comfort and financial acuity. Descriptions which apply to a person associated with Mars and Jupiter include the words: energetic, resourcefulness, frankness, outspokenness, pioneering and adventurous - as well as executive ability, an entrepreneurial attitude, defending one’s beliefs. Others include: enthusiasm, energy and looking on the bright side, whilst having a verve for travel, the big outdoors, sporting competitiveness and energetic exercise – perhaps including that of the mind, as well as an interest in general public affairs.

Now why could we think that Asteroid 8148 Golding = 1985 CR2 is in just the right place?

Our IIW 3-year Social Project in this country is Period Poverty - Dignity for Women and Girls. We are working closely with charities, schools, women's refuges,  and supermarkets to highight the issues.

District Chairman Margaret has selected The Sick Children's Trust as her charity.
